Out of the packet, first throw, we got a minute long sleeper out of this yo-yo which says a lot about the quality of yo-yos that Duncan are currently producing. This 'Drifter' Model was originally designed to be an affordable 1A yo-yo - it has got a sleek aluminium body in a flared butterfly shape. Along with the Infinity Synergy yo-yo this is one of the few affordable metal yo-yos that play as well as models twice their price. As a cherry on the cake, Duncan threw in one of their great plastic counter-weights too. The Metal Drifter has a nice, snappy responsivity fresh from the box (which can be a little rough on the kunckles if you're playing 5A so watch out). Overall this yo-yo has a very clean, fresh look.
